What is DPGC
The Data Privacy Global Conference – DPGC is an annual event promoted by Data Privacy Brasil to discuss the frameworks through which we want to build the technologies of the present and future. In 2 full days of meetings, the DPGC brings together professionals, researchers, and decision-makers to discuss cutting-edge issues and propose ways for technology, rights, and social justice to advance together.
Over its editions, the conference has brought together +900 participants, +150 speakers, and 67 sponsors/partners. Offering a stage for multiple views from the Global South, the conference promotes the exchange of knowledge on digital rights and the most current and relevant in the field of data governance and regulation, creating a unique, specialized, and diverse environment.
In 2025, the event is heading towards its 4th edition and brings several new features to the participants’ experience. The expected audience is +250 participants, and you can expect what has become the hallmark of the event: great references, relevant content, and qualified networking. But with great news: this edition will be more horizontal, participatory, and exclusive—with thematic workshops for you to choose from and more opportunities for interaction, and much more. Global geopolitics is increasingly focusing on issues such as the regulation of artificial intelligence, but also of digital public infrastructures, digital sovereignty and data governance, while the impact of digital platforms on democracy and the economy remains of utmost importance.

DPGC 2025 will open its doors, bringing to the fore the most pressing discussions on digital public infrastructure, information integrity, cybersecurity, AI regulation and enforcement of personal data protection, among many others.

Disseminate and innovate in learning about privacy and data protection in Brazil. This is the mission of Data Privacy Brasil Education, since 2018. We train more than 5 thousand students, from the most diverse areas of activity and regions of the country. Our practical approach provides learning about privacy, data protection, regulation, new technologies, and privacy design critically and consistently, in addition to the application of frameworks and market trends.

We are a non-profit civil society organization founded in 2020 that promotes the protection of personal data and other fundamental rights in the face of the emergence of new technologies, social inequalities, and power asymmetries.
