Professionals working in the area of privacy and data protection
Lawyers, Compliance Professionals, and Information Security and
Software Development Professionals.
The Data Privacy Global Conference (DPGC) arises from the expertise of the Data Privacy Brazil Education and the Data Privacy Brazil Research Association.
In this sense, the DPGC is unique. The exchange with the main actors of the national, regional, and global regulatory ecosystem and the production of public interest research shape the seminar that is dedicated to the multisectoral debate, provoking participants to think about the protection of personal data in connection with the future of digital markets and social justice.
Our goal is to expand the knowledge about regulation from the perspective of the Global South, gathering professionals of different backgrounds in a specialized forum.
The second edition of DPGC will take place in person at ESPM, in Vila Mariana, São Paulo, on November 27th and 28th, 2023. It will feature the presence of national and international panelists, with simultaneous translation, who are experts in Privacy, Data Protection, and regulation of new technologies. The event will be divided into two days, which will respectively focus on discussing:
Themes related to the daily challenges of privacy and data protection professionals, such as crisis management and regulatory trends, such as innovative legal thinking of enforcement authorities, and the intersections with other areas, such as competition law.
Themes connected to frontier academic debates on technology regulation and social justice, such as the intersections between transparency and data protection, and artificial intelligence governance.
To go beyond templates and frameworks, DPGC invites everyone to critically
build the future of privacy and data protection.
Lawyers, Compliance Professionals, and Information Security and
Software Development Professionals.
Judges, directors, parliamentarians, advisors, and consultants.
Given the historical asymmetries of our country and aiming to build a privacy and data protection culture that reflects Brazil's identity, DPGC was structured based on a commitment to diversity.
Soon, we will release more information about our scholarship program for the 2023 edition.
