Caitlin Mulholland (Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Civil Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, 2006 and 2002) is an Associate Professor of Civil Law in the Department of Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She is a professor in PUC-Rio’s Graduate Program in Constitutional Law and State Theory. She coordinates the PUC-Rio Legalite Center. She is the author of the books Civil Liability Based on Presumed Causation and Internet and Contracting: An Overview of Electronic Consumer Contractual Relations. She is the current reviser and contributor to Institutions of Civil Law, Volume III, by Caio Mário da Silva Pereira. Coordinator of the books: LGPD and the New Brazilian Regulatory Framework and Artificial Intelligence and Law: Ethics, Regulation, and Liability. Member of the Civil Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Rio de Janeiro Section. Member of the Brazilian Institute of Civil Law (IBDCivil) and the Association Henri Capitant des Amis de la Culture Juridique Française. Founding member of the Brazilian Institute of Studies in Civil Liability (IBERC).
