Graciela Selaimen is the founder of the Instituto Toriba, an organization dedicated to expanding civic imagination as a tool for social and environmental transformation. She holds a degree in Social Communication and a master’s in Communication and Culture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and works at the intersection of technology, culture, and social justice. At the Ford Foundation (2013–2021), she led grant portfolios in Technology and Society, Creativity and Freedom of Expression, and Civic Space Promotion. Her work combines strategic thinking, activism, and a core principle: political imagination in action, translated into new narratives.
