For over a decade, Henrik Chulu has helped people and organisations understand how digital technologies affect society, democracy, and civic participation. As Technology Advisor at Global Focus, he contributes to the Digital Democracy Initiative and leads Connecting Current, a global knowledge hub where civil society practitioners share knowledge about using technology effectively, addressing digital risks, and strengthening inclusive democracy.
He has advised organisations on technology policy, trained journalists and civil society groups in digital safety, written about emerging technologies and their impact on human rights, and produced public events and cultural projects addressing technology literacy and living in a digital world. Besides an academic background in philosophy and geography, Henrik draws on practical experience from music, journalism, and artistic collaboration, informing an approach to technology that centres culture, creativity, and everyday life.
