Bachelor of Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos – UFSCar (1990), and PhD in Applied Computing from the National Institute for Space Research – INPE (2005). At INPE, she worked in the Image Processing Division – DPI, always developing systems and applications for geoprocessing and remote sensing. She was head of the DPI from 2014 to 2018 and General Coordinator of Earth Observation from 2019 to 2020. She was Head of the Strategic Projects Division 2 – BIG from 2021 to 2023. She is currently the coordinator of INPE’s Geographic Information Base Program, and collaborates with INPE’s Brazilian Biomes Monitoring Program. She is also a professor and advisor for INPE’s Applied Computing Program.
