Paola Ricaurte is a research associate in the Department of Media and Digital Culture at Technological de Monterrey and a research associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. Along with Nick Couldry and Ulises Mejías, she co-founded Tierra Común, a network of academics, practitioners, and activists specific to decoloniality and data. She participates in the Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) and the Expert Group for the Implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence. She is a member of the Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms and coordinates the Latin America and Caribbean branch of the Feminist Artificial Intelligence Research Network, where she promotes an action-research and innovation project for the development of feminist and decolonial technologies.
