Ticianne Darin is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and a researcher in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her award-winning research, recognized at national and international symposia, explores the design and evaluation of user experiences in digital environments, with a focus on aesthetic and emotional aspects, well-being, engagement, and motivation, as well as the impact of manipulative design patterns in apps and games. She is the author of the book “Manual da Autonomia Digital: Bem-Estar na Experiência do Usuário” (2024), a finalist for the 11th ABEU Award, and co-author of the most widely adopted HCI textbook in Brazil. Her work ranges from leading research projects funded by agencies such as CNPq to consulting for UNESCO, where she collaborates with the Secretariat for Digital Rights of the Ministry of Justice in developing national guidelines on Protection by Design and children’s rights in the digital environment. Ticianne is also a member of the steering committee of the Special Commission on HCI of the Brazilian Computer Society.
