As the Chief Legal Officer for Microsoft, Hossein leads a multidisciplinary team of approximately 700 legal, government and community affairs, digital crimes, and business operations professionals located in more than 50 national capitals around the world. He oversees all legal support for Microsoft’s worldwide research, engineering, and marketing and sales organizations, which support and enable customers in over 100 countries. He is a key participant in advancing Microsoft’s public policy priorities around the world, in shaping Microsoft’s internal and external approach to earning public trust and adapting to an increasingly complex regulatory environment, and in helping to ensure Microsoft’s business is conducted in a trustworthy and compliant manner.
