Forestry engineer and PhD in Environmental and Forestry Sciences from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). He is currently a socio-environmental analyst at Instituto Centro de Vida (ICV). He was a fellow on the Ecological Economics, Commons Governance and Climate Justice project at York University, Canada. He works on interdisciplinary research and projects for the sustainability of land use, with an emphasis on participatory environmental management, environmental transparency, environmental policies, climate justice and collective action. He participates in networks such as MapBiomas, Forest Code Observatory, Mato Grosso Socio-Environmental Observatory, the Climate Observatory, the Forum for the Right to Access Public Information, and the Research Group on Citizen Science, Adaptation to Climate Change, and Participatory Approaches.
