Founder of the Journalism and Tech Task Force, a global initiative based in Brazil. She is also the co-founder, CEO, and publisher of Gama Revista. She also co-founded and directed the Nexo newspaper for eight years. Paula holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo, where she also completed her master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. She is a Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia University. Paula serves on the boards of the Center for News, Technology and Innovation, the International Press Institute, the Instituto de Referência Negra Peregum and the Brazilian Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
